When i see this picture,  i want to weep. This is me a few monthes back with my long hair! I miss it so much :(
I had to have the chop due to the horrendous split ends/dead hair that i was sporting from not having had my hair cut for around a year. My fault? I know!!

To make amends for my hideous shoulder length hair ( It is only I that does not suit this lengh) i invested in a replacement in the form of 'Foxy Locks Extentions'. As an avid viewer of the infamous Imogen who creates videos on youtube to advertise her hair extention company, i always had a desire to purchase some to add volume and thickness to my long however weak, limp, hair.

I do now own a set of the extentions and will upload a full review with pictures for those who are interested. =]]

I hope everyone is enjoying their week so far. Today i went along on a shool trip to 'Folly Farm' which was good fun. The children loved it! ( However maybe not as much as me?! :P)

Cheap VS Expensive

Foundations.
MAC Studio fix fluid SPF 15 - £19.50.
LOREAL Paris Infallible makeup lasting perfecting foundation - £10.50 ( ish.)

Foundation is one of the main and essential parts for most people in their makeup routines. In my personal opinion everybody's skin reacts differently to makeup, so where one foundation is amazing and gives such a flawless finish for some, may give the oposite affect to another. This is an important factor when i am comparing these products :)

I have been using both of these products for quite some time, and i still use and buy them both.
The MAC Studio Fix Fluid provides a very medium coverage which can be built upon to a full coverage. It has a very yellow under tone, but overall works well with my skin. It does have an unpleasant scent, which i would say could be affensive, however i can get past this!
The LOREAL Paris infallible foundation has again a medium to full coverage. Its very easily applied and blends into my skin a lot easier than the Studio Fix Fluid. The scent is very light and only a fresh hint. When applying the product, you look flawless, however after letting it settle into the skin and by the time i have finished my other makeup i find that patches can apear, and this worsens the longer you have the product.
I do recomend both products, i tend to use the LOREAL foundation for work, and the MAC Studio fix for nights out, or socialising. You can save a good £10 if you opt for the LOREAL infallible, which lasts for long time, however has mixed finishes.

I will be doing a lot of these cheap vs expensive blog posts as i own a cheap and expensive version of all of my makeup.
What are you experiences of these foundations?? Positive or negative?

Review: Jamaica mannn!

Jamaica - Montego Bay 19.5.11 - 26.5.11

As a worshipper of the Carribean, beautiful sea, sand, and scenery these were all aspects i was expecting from my holiday to Montego Bay, Jamaica.
However there were also a lot of doubts running through my mind, as many will have heard numerous stories of the violence that shadows Jamaica's name. As it was just my mum and i going, we were apprehensive about being vunerable, however our holiday could have not have been better.

This is the spectacular view from the plane upon landing :) ( Look at that sea!!!)
We only stayed in a 3 star hotel, as having read review upon review on trip advisor the higher star hotels did not have the high standard of comments as the 3 star had. My Mum and I are very beach based people, and having the right location is the main priority for us. Our hotel was based on the beach, heaven!
Dunn's River Falls
I reccomend to anyone visiting Jamaica to do this excursion. It is so beautiful and one of the most famous aspects to the island. ( Along with Bob Marley :p) It takes a whopping one hour to climb, but worth it for the laughs as you see everyone struggle up!!
Rick's Cafe -
Also a spectacular place, Rick's Cafe is situated in Negril which was a two hour coach journey from Montego Bay. Rick's Cafe is a big bar area, with huge areas of cliff which people jump off for fun :) I just enjoyed watching... Would you take the plunge?!

Such a beautiful sunset :)

Please excuse my goofiness in this picture. But my first and formost reason for my love of Jamaica is the wonderful people! They are so charming, friendly, and the opposite opinion from what i had. This is Jermaine, he was a 'sea seller' ( He sold people in the hotel items whilst he was in the sea!) He was so lovely, along with everyone else i met.

For anyone who is thinking of going to Jamaica, i would say take the plunge and go! t is expensive, but for anyone who is seeking a good time, good music, amazing atmosphere and of corse the amazing scenery, it is worth saving :-)

I'm Back! :) ( Although noone will have known i was gone :p)

I have not posted on here since Christmas, due to lots of boring and silly excuses such as forgetting i had it, busy-ness, and yeah! Also as i have finally ditched the awful facebook,to which  i can spend much more valuable time posting on here :)

Recently has been very busy for me, work wise, and life wise! Since i have posted it has been my birthday in which i turned a very old number 18! I celebrated my birthday in the wonderful land of Jamaica. Which is a truely fabulous place. I may post a blog on here seperatly of my holiday, encase anyone is interested in visiting the island. ( I highly reccomend it )

Since i have been back i have been in London staying with my sister, as she is about to give birth, so exciting stuff!

I have lots of plans for my blog, and although i think its a great place to keep a record of recent happenings, i also want to share my love for vainess and beauty! This will involve product reviews, recent hauls, new makeup looks, favourite products, and outfits of the day! I may also try and be slightly different and not just copyright everyone else and think of some new ideas to project beauty ideas.

To end i am going to list some of my INS and OUTS.

INS.

Travel -
Yes! I am off for a month from the first of July to travel the South of France, Italy, Austria, and Germany. Excited? Yes! Unorganised? Yes! But it should be an amazing journey, to which i will blog events that happen, to keep a general diary for myself :)

MAC Studio Moisture Tint SPF 15 -
Although an avid fan of medium coverage foundations, this Studio Moisture Tint by MAC is perfect for when you have a tan, and in this summer weather for a lighter and fresher coverage. ( which isn't going to melt off your face!) Also the SPF 15 is great, as because i am blessed in being a pale milk bottle shade i am in major need of the stuff.

Moroccan Oil -
This amazing oil has literally saved my hair from dropping out! I shall give a full blog review on it as it is a must have even for people on tight budgets ( its a whopping £30 ), however most definatly worth it.

MAC's Viva Glam Gaga A60 lipstick -
A perfect light barbie pink shade for this summer weather. With the creamy texture and long lasting stay its a winner for me.

OUTS.

Course work -
This is my last month of my course, and i cannot wait to finish it! I am truely fed up of learning, and with working full time its becoming a real struggle to get the final bits done. Roll on end of the month!

Healthy Eating -
Before Jamaica i was so good! - religously eating healthily, regular exercise ( 100 situps a night!) and lots of running. Since i have been back, i have ate nothing but rubbish, exercise? None! and a month of bikini wearing everyday coming up. Sh*t!!

Anyone want to share their in's and out's ? Had a good week or bad week ?

Christmas!

Very exited now!! :D
Yes, Christmas is nearly here... I have finished working at the school for this term, and it will be nice to have a break. The last week was lovely though, we did lots of Christmas activities, and although most of the children are muslims, its really nice that they get actively involved in participating in the plays, and christmas party. I even recieved some Christmas cards which i was really pleased about!

The snow is sooo heavy where i live, so i have been snug as a bug in my lounge, watching Christmassy films... I was due to be going to town for my friends party tonight, i even bought a new dress! Also my work party has been called off.. so not very happy. As i had bought a dress for that aswell!! Although i love the snow, and it is beautiful at this time of the year with all the decorations up, my sister is coming down from London with my nephew... so i need it to be safe on the roads for her to make it to Bristol!!

I have been trying out some different Christmassy looks, and this red lipped one i really liked =] I think its great for a Christmas party.

This is a picture of me in my room just before i was heading off to work ( Starbucks) i love that my room looks all cosy :)

But off now to get ready for bed :-)

Getting started! :)

Right so... My first blog! I think its a really good idea to keep a blog, as you can share ideas, thoughts and memories with others. Also its a more fun, and modern way of keeping a diary!

I have just got back from the mall with my boyfriend... it was crazily busy, and really quite tedious. I never thought id be saying that especially as the aim was to pick presents for myself! But the amount of people there, was to much for me to concerntrate on what i'd like!
My main interest for a present is makeup this year. Lots of it! So looking at products with people bumping into me wasn't the idealic shopping trip i had in mind...

My blogs will include reviews of products, as although my carer choice is with children, i have a strong interest and passion for makeup/hair. Although makeup being my prefered choice!

Well i am off to babysit now, so i shall write my first proper blog tomorrow!
