Review: Jamaica mannn!

Jamaica - Montego Bay 19.5.11 - 26.5.11

As a worshipper of the Carribean, beautiful sea, sand, and scenery these were all aspects i was expecting from my holiday to Montego Bay, Jamaica.
However there were also a lot of doubts running through my mind, as many will have heard numerous stories of the violence that shadows Jamaica's name. As it was just my mum and i going, we were apprehensive about being vunerable, however our holiday could have not have been better.

This is the spectacular view from the plane upon landing :) ( Look at that sea!!!)
We only stayed in a 3 star hotel, as having read review upon review on trip advisor the higher star hotels did not have the high standard of comments as the 3 star had. My Mum and I are very beach based people, and having the right location is the main priority for us. Our hotel was based on the beach, heaven!
Dunn's River Falls
I reccomend to anyone visiting Jamaica to do this excursion. It is so beautiful and one of the most famous aspects to the island. ( Along with Bob Marley :p) It takes a whopping one hour to climb, but worth it for the laughs as you see everyone struggle up!!
Rick's Cafe -
Also a spectacular place, Rick's Cafe is situated in Negril which was a two hour coach journey from Montego Bay. Rick's Cafe is a big bar area, with huge areas of cliff which people jump off for fun :) I just enjoyed watching... Would you take the plunge?!

Such a beautiful sunset :)

Please excuse my goofiness in this picture. But my first and formost reason for my love of Jamaica is the wonderful people! They are so charming, friendly, and the opposite opinion from what i had. This is Jermaine, he was a 'sea seller' ( He sold people in the hotel items whilst he was in the sea!) He was so lovely, along with everyone else i met.

For anyone who is thinking of going to Jamaica, i would say take the plunge and go! t is expensive, but for anyone who is seeking a good time, good music, amazing atmosphere and of corse the amazing scenery, it is worth saving :-)
